I clicked it accidently while holding down my camera.  I later on named it "A small step....big leap....", as it reminded me of the famous quote made at the time of Mankind's first landing on moon !!  The colour combination of Blue and Green gives a pleasing effect to the shot.

This one is taken with maximum aperture for minimum DoF to cut out the object of focus from its background.  The warm colour of the pot in foreground makes up for a pleasing experience for the eyes in an otherwise dull picture.

This picture is taken at an angle closer to the ground to take an object (anchor in this case) in the maximum foreground so as to highlight the infinity of sky and horizon.  The fishermen at work and the boat make-up for a good background making the picture lively.

Lake Periyar - A man made lake.  The picture is taken to capture the trunks in a manner which creates an impression of a descending order arrangement to slowly guide the viewer's eye from left to right across the frame.  Black and white effect of this landscape also amplifies depth of the picture.

An actor captured while performing Indian classical dance form 'Kathakali' depicting an episode from epic - The Mahabharata.  The expression is as much calm as it is aggressive, as much soft as it is piercing and as much simple as it is intriguing.

As the sun rises over a distant fort, I comprehend the royal times when an ascend of this speck of energy would kick start the lives of subjects living within.  How I wish I could travel back in time to capture the bustling lives of the residents and the royalty.

The picture was taken at Udaipur, Fatehgarh in October 2011.
